Kia ora Refresh Physio whanau and community!

Catherine and Faith are back in the clinic working and available for face-to-face consultations with some differences in the way they need to operate during level 1. Telehealth appointments are still available for those who wish/need to continue their physiotherapy experience in this way.

On line bookings can now be made by going to this link here.

Due to Level 1 rules there are some extra precautions in place that we must continue with for treatment sessions at the practice

  • If you are feeling unwell please stay at home & make another time to come in when you are fully better. At this stage a telehealth consult might be best for you?
  • A requirement of the Physiotherapy Board is to screen patients before they come in for their assessment for any COVID-19 signs & symptoms - we will contact you to cover this
  • Please arrive for your appointment on time, this will limit your exposure to any other person who may be in the waiting room & will enable us to maintain physical distancing
  • Please use the hand sanitiser on the reception bench provided to sanitise your hands as soon as you enter the waiting room & before you leave
  • Please only use the toilet/bathroom if it is absolutely necessary & notify us of having done this
  • Please limit the number of people you bring with you to your appointment - all support people are required to follow the hand sanitising procedures of patients.

Rigorous Practice Cleaning Process in Place

  • We are cleaning all surfaces used by patients after they leave - this includes chair handles, bench surfaces, the eftpos machine, door handles, walls etc.
  • We have opted not to use sheets or pillows for now & instead wipe the treatment bed surfaces down with disinfectant after any use
  • Our cleaner will come in for the foreseeable future to perform a more thorough clean twice weekly, instead of once.
  • The Ministry of Health does not require physiotherapists to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at level 2. However for any hands-on treatment we will wear gloves & also a mask in certain circumstances where patient age may deem them more vulnerable.

Ngā mihi nui to all of you for your patience & support during this time & we look forward to seeing you all soon.
He waka eke noa - we are all in this together
Catherine & Faith
